Kids Club is essentially a place for the well being of children. Hence we are open to suggestions by the kids. We give you what you want and will try to organize on demand programs so that maximum benefit can be gained for your child’s benefit.
ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES
the range of academic activities is as follows:
1. Library and Reading Program: “My kid just doesn’t read books” is what we hear from the exasperated parents more often than any thing else. The lack of reading and its effect on children’s language abilities at school are evident in falling grades. We have a specially designed study area that not only has an impressive collection of books and magazines but also has educational and entertaining multimedia. The purpose of the library is to start your children on the much needed reading program in both English and Urdu. Parents, who buy books but somehow can never make their children to read them, can send books over and we would make it a point, with the help of our reading expert, to make your child sit back and read.
2. Languages: Learning a new language is one of the most productive and rewarding cognitive activities for young children. A child up to 12 years of age has the necessary brain elasticity to master new languages. At younger age a child’s brain can learn up to three languages with the ease of a sponge absorbing liquid. Our kids have an advantage of multilingualism and we capitalize on their flair by offering them English and French language programs.
3. Qirat and Islamic learning
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES
In our urban communities open spaces are gradually becoming luxuries for a limited number of people to enjoy. The problems of extreme weather, lack of coaching, limited supervision and constricted space are hindrances that keep your children away from healthy physical activities. Add to this the growing security concerns and the idea of outdoor sports loses its appeal altogether. Kids Club is aware of this problem and that is why our experts have carefully developed a selected range of physical activities that can go a long way in developing those unused muscles, correcting that unbecoming slouch and giving your kid a healthy appetite for milk and eggs.
1. Karate: We want our children to have skills in self defense. That is why karate is at the top of our list. We have experienced and skilled karate coaches who are well equipped to take your child through the complexities of this art in self preservation so admired by every young kid. From breathing exercises to breaking bricks and kicking high, your child will get to do all that he so admires in his action packed cartoons.
3. Table Tennis: This is one sport that helps a growing kid greatly with muscle coordination and concentration. Now she can learn the game from qualified instructor and derive the pleasure of this highly engaging sport.
4. Swimming: Swimming is not only fun but is a complete body workout as well. It is the best way to get rid of a slouch caused by heavy school bags, prolonged stooping over a computer and a half lying posture in front of the TV. It builds muscles of the entire body and is a relaxing sport to vent the energies of the hyper active kid.
5. Gym: A gym for a growing kid is no longer a novel idea. Too much flab caused by a fast food culture has become a problem for many children. Genetics, faulty nutrition and lack of exercise are some of the factors causing obesity among kids. A growing number of pediatricians advise regular gym for the problem of obesity. Kids Club offers a tailor made gym facility with trainers and a consultant nutritionist to guide the children. Give your child’s health a boost and go for it now.
7. Basket ball
8. Badminton
9. Foot ball
Arts and Music: Arts and music are essential components of education these days. Research strongly suggests that young people who participate in arts or learn a musical instrument, go on to acquire skills as wide ranging as creativity of expression, decision making, self-discipline and team work.
For many people music serves as an impetus to stay motivated. We canalize the growing interest of young children in music and color by giving them a chance to learn through it. We believe that every body deserves to have a go at exploring their creativity and that is why we encourage not only those with specific artistic or musical talent, but every one who enjoys working with their hands or with an ear for music, to pick a suitable activity from this category. Our arts and crafts activities are aimed at creating opportunities for young kids to communicate their talents and voice through various artistic media.
1. Musical Instrument: Children can bring any musical instrument of their choice and work with our music instructors to learn how to play it. Our music room may become a cacophony of sound emanating from musical instruments as diverse as sitar, guitar, piano, drums or flute, but it would help the child develop a sense of music and create melodies.
2. Singing: Kids with talent for singing can exercise their vocal chords by learning to sing under guidance. Those who have already been taking training can also benefit by being part of the Kids Club choir and honing their singing talents further.
3. Sculpting: Kids who like to work with their hands can greatly benefit from this activity. By learning to create three dimensional art objects they get a sense of shaping and reshaping masses of ordinary materials and communicating their inner creativity in concrete form. Our professional instructors have a very interesting blend of working with different materials such as metal, paper and card board, textile and rubber forms, clay, wax and plaster.
4. Water and oil painting: Working with colors is a very important part of every child’s school life. Our painting program aims at helping children to associate with the process of imitation and recreation, to own the objects they wish to paint and develop an appreciation of beauty in nature.
5. Pottery: Working with clay and getting their fingers in the gooey stuff is part of many children’s fantasies. Research in learning difficulties has pointed out the benefit of working with clay in helping children develop not only their motor skills but also overcome their problems in learning. Our pottery club teaches children to form objects out of clay and create unique wares that they can be proud of.
